Women found flying with snakes from Bangkok to Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In a surprising turn of events, two women were detained at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad after authorities discovered them in possession of several snakes. The women, who were en route from Bangkok, claimed that the snakes were part of a personal collection and were intended for a private exhibition.

Airport security personnel were alerted when the women’s luggage emitted unusual sounds during routine screening. Upon inspection, officers found the snakes, including non-venomous rat snake. The authorities immediately contacted wildlife experts to ensure the safe handling and transfer of the snakes to a nearby wildlife sanctuary.

The women, who have not been identified, are currently under investigation to determine the legality of their possession and transportation of the snakes. The airport authorities have emphasized the importance of adhering to wildlife protection laws and regulations to prevent such incidents in the future.
