While passing through the area, Ashok Reddy saw drinking water flowing onto the road. Concerned about potential pipeline leakages, he immediately alerted the local HMWS&SB General Manager, Hari Shankar. Local officials, along with the general manager, quickly arrived at the scene to inspect the source of the water flow.
The incident at the Akkampalli balancing reservoir in Nalgonda district, has caused widespread alarm, given the reservoir’s crucial role in supplying drinking water to the region. In response, Nalgonda District Collector Ila Tripathi and her team visited the reservoir on Saturday as part of a stock taking exercise. The Collector emphasized that a multi-disciplinary team has been formed, consisting of representatives from all departments.
