A local court granted regular bail to actor Allu Arjun in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. The star of ‘Pushpa-2’ had previously been granted a four-week interim bail by the Telangana High Court and was awaiting a decision on his regular bail petition. The court has directed the actor to submit two sureties, each worth Rs 50,000.
The actor’s legal team and the Chikkadpally police had already concluded their arguments, and the court had reserved its verdict.
The incident occurred on December 4, when Allu Arjun attended the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Sandhya Theatre. A massive crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor, and chaos ensued when he waved to fans from the sunroof of his car. This allegedly led to the tragic death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to her nine-year-old son.
Following the incident, Allu Arjun was arrested and later released on bail after furnishing a surety bond of Rs 50,000.
