Rahul Gandhi Birthday: Roses, Laddus and the Missing Charminar Cake !

Congress Party office in Delhi was all decked up in balloons as the party’s crown prince Rahul Gandhi turned a year older- but necessarily on this occasion people wished him turn a bit more wiser in political optics. The birthday bash at party HQ, expected to be a thunderous show of loyalty, fizzled into a cozy corner gathering with just a sprinkle of faithfuls and a whiff of dissent.

Missing from the spotlight? Telangana’s CM Revanth Reddy-who, despite being in Delhi, skipped the festivities, setting the grapevine ablaze. While others turned up with backyard roses and laddoos past their prime, Revanth’s absence was sharper than a candle snuff on the cake that never came. He just wished him silently on the X.

Whispers flew faster than the selfies: was Revanth shying away with a reason, or was Rahul tightening the guest list to keep the attention undivided? Some cheekily suggest Revanth should’ve gatecrashed the party with a Charminar-shaped confection in tow. Others hint at icy vibes from the Gandhi scion himself.

Meanwhile, the opposition pulled out the popcorn. A BRS leader took a swipe, dubbing Revanth “the only Congress CM with a pulse,” predicting dire outcomes if Delhi keeps him at arm’s length. The BJP upped the ante with memes of Rahul blowing candles solo, captioned, “When your party forgets your party.”

Political analysts warn that the Congress had a hard-won victory in Telangana and it hangs in the balance today. “Revanth Reddy is the glue holding the state and the party unit together.” “Without him, it’s not just a deluge- it’s a full-blown monsoon of misery for the party.”

The power dynamics in Telangana, delicately balanced between Revanth’s resolve and the high command’s whims, could tip either way.
