Hyderabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), probing the Formula E car race case, has rescheduled the summons for Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar and former chief engineer (CE) of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) BLN Reddy.

The two officials, initially asked to appear on January 2 and 3, have now been directed to appear before the agency on January 8 and 9, respectively. According to a senior officer from the department, both Kumar and Reddy sought 2-3 weeks to prepare and submit relevant documents. The ED has responded positively to their request for additional time.
These summons are part of the ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities during the Hyderabad Formula E race in February 2023. The ED is probing the extent of these irregularities and the involvement of various officials.
Additionally, the ED has summoned Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and former IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, who is scheduled to appear before the agency on January 7.
