Sharmila goes all out against Jagan’s Satan Army

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Y. S. Sharmila made sensational remarks on Friday, vehemently denying any relationship with actor Prabhas. Speaking at a press conference at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad, Sharmila swore on her children, reiterating that she has no connection with Prabhas and does not even know who he is.

Sharmila accused her brother, former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, of running a slanderous campaign against her through his social media team. She questioned why Jagan, if he truly loved his sister, did not take any action during his five-year tenure as Chief Minister when rumors about her relationship with Prabhas were allegedly spread from the house of actor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Balakrishna.

“Jagan showed a video clip claiming that the false propaganda against me originated from Balakrishna’s house. If you really loved your sister, why didn’t you take action against Balakrishna? Why did you let your ‘satan army’ spread lies about me having a relationship with Prabhas?” Sharmila asked. She accused Jagan of using her video for his political mileage and criticized him for filing a case against their mother, Vijayamma, and including their father, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR), in a CBI charge sheet in a disproportionate assets case.

Sharmila recalled that before the 2019 elections, she had filed a police complaint in Hyderabad against the TDP’s social media wing for spreading rumors about her alleged relationship with Prabhas. She emphasized that she had never met or spoken to Prabhas and blamed then Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu for the social media tirade against her.

Sharmila, who actively campaigned for the YSR Congress Party with her brother before differences arose, alleged that Jagan changed after coming to power and tried to deprive her of her rightful share in their late father’s property. She founded the YSR Telangana Party in 2021, which she merged with Congress earlier this year, and was subsequently appointed president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee.
