Reflecting on the decade since Telangana’s formation, Reddy acknowledged that the aspirations of the people, rooted in demands for emancipation, freedom, and equal opportunities, remained unfulfilled under the previous regime’s “dictatorial rule.” He highlighted the public’s mandate in 2023, which brought his progressive People’s Government to power to address these shortcomings.
The upcoming Global Office will initially employ 2,000 professionals, with further expansions expected. CM Reddy emphasized the state’s commitment to skilling initiatives, inviting McDonald’s to leverage the Young India Skills University to train staff for both the new office and restaurant operations across India.
Currently operating 38 outlets in Telangana, McDonald’s also plans to open 3-4 new restaurants annually, including in tier-2 and tier-3 towns.
Despite a recent tunnel roof collapse, the government has ruled out any possibility of abandoning the project. The Chief Minister, who visited the accident site on Saturday, emphasized that the incident would not slow down the progress. He explained that tunnel excavation is being carried out from both ends, with two tunnel boring machines (TBMs) in operation.
The Chief Minister congratulated Trisha for her remarkable performance in the Under-19 World Cup and expressed his hope that she would continue to shine for the country in the future.
The Chief Minister also took a moment to criticize the previous government for their handling of Gaddar’s funeral. He recalled how the then-government had locked the LB Stadium when Gaddar’s body was brought there, preventing the public from paying their respects. In contrast, CM Revanth Reddy ensured that Gaddar’s final farewell was accessible to everyone, bringing his body to the LB Stadium for the public to honor.
