Hyderabad: Osmania University has announced that its main gates will now remain open until 9 PM each night. This decision, directed by Vice Chancellor Professor M. Kumar, comes in response to requests from faculty, staff, and students. Previously, the main gates near the NCC side and Police Station side were closed at 8 PM. The new decision extends this by an additional hour, allowing more time for vehicular movement. Additionally, provisions have been made for pedestrian access at the Ravindra Nagar gate on the Ramanthapur side, with morning and evening opening times adjusted to accommodate school children of construction workers residing on the university campus. This move aims to ease access and enhance convenience for the university community, ensuring a more flexible and accommodating environment.
