Lookout notice against noted influencer Bayya Sunny Yadav

A case has been registered against popular YouTuber and influencer Sunny Yadav at the Nuthankal Police Station in Suryapet district for promoting betting applications. The police have identified that Sunny Yadav is currently abroad and have issued a lookout circular against him. The suo moto case was registered on March 5 for his alleged involvement in promoting betting apps via social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Police stated that Sunny Yadav, who is known for traveling internationally on his bike, used his influence on social media to promote illegal betting platforms. Following the case registration, law enforcement has intensified efforts to bring him back to India and arrest him. Meanwhile, Sunny Yadav has approached the Telangana High Court seeking anticipatory bail in connection with the case. The High Court has postponed the hearing to March 24.

This incident is part of a broader crackdown by Telangana police against individuals promoting betting apps across the state. In a related development, Malkajgiri MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao filed a complaint at Neredmet Police Station in Hyderabad, highlighting the issue of rising suicides linked to gambling losses on these platforms.

Additionally, members of the Jana Sena Party’s student wing filed complaints against YouTubers Jabardasth Varsha and Harsha Sai, accusing them of promoting betting apps at Osmania University. They demanded legal action against those responsible for influencing youth towards illegal betting. Calls have also been made to investigate the YouTube channels of actor Ali’s wife Zubeda and anchor Lasya.
