India deploys Naval strike group in Arabian Sea. Now, Karachi port is within its striking range

Mumbai: Indian Navy is very active in the Arabian Sea. Reports indicate that India has deployed a powerful naval strike group toward Pakistan’s coast amid escalating tensions. Some of these warships are equipped with supersonic cruise missiles, placing Karachi, Pakistan’s largest port, within striking range.

The fleet, which includes an aircraft carrier, guided-missile destroyers, frigates, and anti-submarine warfare vessels, is now stationed approximately 300 to 400 miles off Pakistan’s coast. Additionally, INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier, has been mobilized near the Karwar coast in the Arabian Sea, bringing it closer to Pakistani waters as a strategic warning.

In response to escalating border tensions, the Indian Navy has held a crucial meeting with fishermen in Mumbai, advising them to avoid fishing in sensitive maritime areas. The advisory comes amid heightened security measures and the issuance of “shoot-to-kill” directives should unauthorized vessels enter restricted zones.

Sources indicate that the Navy has also warned fishermen against venturing along the coastline due to security concerns. Additionally, authorities plan to conduct a comprehensive survey of fishing boats in Mumbai, collecting relevant data through a specialized app.

Reports suggest that Pakistani authorities recently seized boats belonging to Gujarati fishermen, although the fishermen themselves were released. Intelligence sources fear that these confiscated vessels may be repurposed for hostile activities, similar to how boats were used during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Consequently, the Navy has sounded alerts across Mumbai, Konkan, and other coastal regions, prompting an increase in security force movements and stricter maritime surveillance.

Security measures have intensified following India’s targeted military operations in the Arabian Sea against Pakistan. These operations were conducted after Pakistan attempted missile strikes in Jammu and Kashmir, alongside drone attacks in various regions.

Military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur were reportedly targeted but were successfully defended using advanced countermeasures. The Defence Ministry reassured citizens, stating that India remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty.

Amid these developments, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is scheduled to meet senior officials to assess security preparedness. His meeting follows discussions led by Home Minister Amit Shah, who reviewed border security strategies with top officials and assessed airport security protocols with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious maritime activity to law enforcement agencies.
