Tirumala ( Andhra Pradesh) – A major breach of security and religious decorum was reported at the sacred Tirumala temple on Tuesday evening after a drone camera was spotted flying over the temple premises for nearly 10 minutes. The incident has caused a stir among devotees and temple authorities.
According to reports, devotees noticed a drone flying near the premises of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple and immediately alerted the vigilance authorities of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Responding swiftly, TTD officials managed to track down and detain the individual operating the drone.
The person in question was identified as Anshuman Tareja, a YouTuber from Rajasthan. Authorities said he had flown the drone from near the Harinama Sankeerthana Mandapam, located in front of the temple, around Tuesday evening. The drone was seized, and Tareja was handed over to the police for further investigation.
TTD Vigilance officials reviewed the footage captured by the drone and confirmed that the YouTuber had been filming videos across Tirumala since the morning. A formal case has been registered by the police, and investigations are ongoing.
Drone usage is strictly prohibited in and around the Tirumala temple due to security and religious sensitivity. The incident has reignited discussions about stricter surveillance and penalties for unauthorized aerial filming in the area.
TTD has reiterated its appeal to visitors and content creators to respect the sanctity of the temple and adhere to all rules and guidelines during their visit.
