Hyderabad: Six youths who had allegedly attacked the house of actor Allu Arjun at Jublee hills in protest agianst the tragic death of a woman, Revathi at Sandhya Theatre were arrested by the police.
The accused were produced in the court on December 23, which in turn remanded them to judicial custiody. The accused who claimed to be OU JAC leaders- Srinivas, Mohan, Nagaraju, Naresh, Prem Kumar, and Prakash had vandalised the premises after barging in to the actors residence.
The assailants had allegedly hurled tomatoes and eggs, and caused damage by smashing flower pots. Upon receiving information from Allu Arjun’s family, the Jubilee Hills police promptly arrived at the scene and removed the six protesters from the house.
Subsequently, the police arrested them under various sections, including BNS 331(5), 190, 191(2), 324(2), 292, 126(2), and 131. Today, the accused, presented before the magistrate were remanded for 14 days. Security has been tightened for the ‘Pusha 2″ actor in the wake of his arrest and controversy surrounding the stapede at Sandhya theater.
