Guntur : Jagan Named in Death Case of Party Worker; Guntur Police Issue Notice Amid Political Uproar Guntur: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president @YSJaganMohanReddy has been issued a police notice in connection with the death of 65-year-old party worker Cheeli Singaiah during a rally in Rentapalla, Palnadu district.
The incident, which occurred on June 18, involved a bulletproof Fortuner (AP 40 DH 2349) linked to Jagan, as confirmed through CCTV and drone footage. Guntur SP S.Sateesh kumar said the notice was delivered to the YSRCP Tadepalli office and received by secretary Appireddy. The vehicle in question has been seized. Initially registered under BNS Section 106(1) (negligent death), the case has since been elevated to include Sections 105 (culpable homicide) and 49 (abetment), following a complaint by Singaiah’s wife. Jagan has been named as Accused No. 2, with driver Ramanareddy as Accused No. 1.
The incident has ignited a fresh wave of political crossfire. @CMNChandrababuNaidu lashed out at the YSRCP leadership, while party loyalists condemned the case as a politically motivated attack. The investigation now pivots to probe rally protocol breaches and security oversight.
