Security threats: Hyderabad Police sound a caution to BJP MLA, Raja Singh

Hyderabad: BJP MLA Raja Singh has been cautioned by Hyderabad police regarding his security concerns. The Mangalhat Police issued a formal notice urging Singh to adhere to state-provided security measures due to repeated threats to his life.

Despite frequent threatening calls, Singh has reportedly been moving through highly sensitive areas without his bulletproof vehicle or assigned security personnel. The police emphasized that disregarding these precautions not only endangers his safety but also increases the burden on law enforcement.

Singh, who represents the Goshamahal constituency, was seen visiting multiple high-risk zones- Talabkatta, Bhavani Nagar, Injanboli, Baba Nagar, Bahadurpura, Santosh Nagar, Yakutpura, Golkonda, and Jirra between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm on May 31—all areas flagged as high-risk zones. Authorities stress that following security protocols is essential to avoid any untoward incidents.

A senior officer from the West Zone stated that it is crucial for the MLA to follow all advised security measures. The police have submitted a copy of the notice to the Hyderabad City Commissioner of Police for further oversight. Singh has yet to publicly respond to the warning.
