Kavitha rules out floating separate political outfit

Hyderabad: BRS MLC K. Kavitha emphasized her unwavering commitment to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and its leader, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), while slamming party insiders for undermining unity.

Referring to KCR as “god” to BRS members, she accused certain individuals close to him of acting as “demons” that weaken the party’s leadership and cohesion. Kavitha’s outburst was triggered by the leak of her confidential letter to KCR, which she claimed was part of a conspiracy to tarnish her image through international IT networks and social media attacks.

Addressing speculations of factionalism or ambitions to form a separate political outfit, Kavitha firmly denied such intentions, stating, “KCR is my only leader, and backstabbing isn’t my nature.” She urged party leaders to fight collectively rather than merely posting on platforms like X in response to KCR’s notices. “If every leader claims the party as their own, we’ll see results,” she said. Reflecting on her contributions, Kavitha recalled her role in the Telangana movement, saying, “I fought for Telangana with a child in my womb, not for positions.”

In response to the discord, KCR sent senior leaders D. Damodar Rao and Gandra Mohan Rao to meet Kavitha, who voiced concerns over leaders’ silence amid attacks against her and urged KCR to be more accessible to workers. Her outspoken stance signals a critical moment for BRS as it navigates internal rifts and strives to maintain its public image.
