Hyderabad: As Hyderabad gears up to host the grand finale of Miss World 2025 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on May 9, Cyberabad police have imposed a strict ban on the use of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the area.

According to an official notice from the Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, the prohibition will be enforced within a 5-kilometre radius of the event site. The restriction will remain in effect from May 4 to June 2 as part of security measures designed to ensure the safety of international delegates, dignitaries, contestants, and attendees.

Authorities have invoked Section 22 of the Indian Aircraft Act (1934) alongside provisions from the IPC, Hyderabad City Police Act, and CrPC to implement the restrictions. The ban is aimed at preventing potential security threats while maintaining a secure environment for the prestigious global event.
