Hyerabad: In a rare moment of political camaraderie, Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of AP has received birthday wishes from his old friend and former Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao. Following suit, KCR’s son and BRS working president, K T Rama Rao, hailed Naidu’s role in shaping Hyderabad’s IT sector during his tenure as Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
The discussion also brought to light also the contributions of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, whose initiatives like Aarogyasri and student fee reimbursement schemes, as KTR claimed, were acknowledged by KCR in the legislative assembly. K T Rama Rao recalled that continuation of YSR’s initiatives was also assured by KCR as the then chief minister in view of their lasting impact on the state’s welfare.
Meanwhile, KT Rama Rao criticized the current Congress leadership in Telangana for attempting to erase KCR’s indelible contributions to rebuilding the state post-statehood. This exchange highlights the importance of recognizing the efforts of past leaders in shaping Telangana’s progress, irrespective of political affiliations.
