McDonald’s to Set Up Global Office in Hyderabad, Boosting Telangana’s Investment Profile
Hyderabad:In a landmark achievement for Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that McDonald’s will establish its Global Business Services (GBS) Office in Hyderabad.

The decision, finalized after a high-level meeting between CM Revanth Reddy and McDonald’s Chairman & CEO Chris Kempczinski, marks a significant win for the state, which faced stiff competition from cities like Bangalore.

Kempczinski, accompanied by Skye Anderson, President Global Business Services, Jon Banner, Chief Global Impact Officer, and Deshant Kaila, Head of GBS India, highlighted Hyderabad’s superior talent pool, infrastructure, and quality of life as key reasons for choosing the city.
The upcoming Global Office will initially employ 2,000 professionals, with further expansions expected. CM Reddy emphasized the state’s commitment to skilling initiatives, inviting McDonald’s to leverage the Young India Skills University to train staff for both the new office and restaurant operations across India.
Currently operating 38 outlets in Telangana, McDonald’s also plans to open 3-4 new restaurants annually, including in tier-2 and tier-3 towns.

The Chief Minister offered to source McDonald’s agricultural requirements directly from Telangana’s farmers, aiming to strengthen the rural economy and boost farmer incomes.

Kempczinski assured deeper community engagement in Telangana through McDonald’s global CSR programs. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Ms. Santhi Kumari, Special CS IT Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, and Secretary to CM Mr. Ajith Reddy, marking a new chapter in Telangana’s industrial and social development.
