‘BJP Office Area To Be Named After Gaddar’

During the grand celebration of Gaddar’s 77th birth anniversary at Ravindra Bharathi, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made a significant announcement. He declared that the locality where the BJP state office is located would be named after the late balladeer Gaddar. This statement was met with applause and approval from the attendees, which included Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, and Ponnam Prabhakar.

CM Revanth Reddy took the opportunity to reflect on Gaddar’s profound influence on his life. He shared personal anecdotes, recalling how Gaddar had always encouraged him and provided guidance during challenging times. “Gaddar always told me to fulfill my responsibilities, and the people will give you opportunities,” he said. The Chief Minister emphasized that Gaddar considered society as his family and dedicated his life to the welfare of the community.

In honor of Gaddar’s legacy, CM Revanth Reddy announced the establishment of an award in Gaddar’s name. This award would be given annually to individuals who inspire society, ensuring that Gaddar’s contributions are remembered and celebrated. The responsibility of overseeing the Gaddar Awards was entrusted to Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.

The Chief Minister also took a moment to criticize the previous government for their handling of Gaddar’s funeral. He recalled how the then-government had locked the LB Stadium when Gaddar’s body was brought there, preventing the public from paying their respects. In contrast, CM Revanth Reddy ensured that Gaddar’s final farewell was accessible to everyone, bringing his body to the LB Stadium for the public to honor.

CM Revanth Reddy concluded his speech by reiterating Gaddar’s unwavering commitment to his principles until his last breath. He also mentioned that the state government had recommended five individuals, including Gaddar, for the prestigious Padma Awards, questioning why neighboring states received more awards than Telangana. The Chief Minister’s remarks were a powerful tribute to Gaddar’s enduring legacy and his impact on Telangana’s society.
