Road Safety:
The Rachakonda Police Commissionerate has seen a 12.30 percent reduction in road crashes in 2024, thanks to the efforts of the Accident Analysis Prevention Team (AAPT). The number of road mishaps decreased from 3,657 in 2023 to 3,207 in 2024. Accidents on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) also dropped from 66 to 46, a 30.30 percent reduction.
“Our focus was on preventing fatal road crashes and life loss at any cost. The AAPT team has done an outstanding job, and the results are evident. Proactive measures have significantly reduced road mishap cases,” said Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu.
Crime Against Women:
There has been a 9 percent drop in crime against women cases in 2024, attributed to the strict safety mechanisms in place for women and children. Commissioner Sudheer Babu highlighted that in most cases, the suspects were known to the victims. Of the reported cases, 384 suspects were known to the victims, 322 were friends, and 40 included colleagues, guardians, servants, drivers, relatives, and family friends.
“We are serious about crime against women and children and will not tolerate it at any cost. More victims have come forward to lodge complaints with the police, indicating their confidence in us,” said Sudheer Babu.
