Hyderabad: Renowned Indian badminton star PV Sindhu is set to marry Venkata Datta Sai, an executive director at Posidex Technologies, later this month in Udaipur. The wedding is scheduled for December 22, with pre-wedding festivities beginning two days earlier. A reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24.
The wedding dates were carefully chosen to accommodate Sindhu’s busy schedule, allowing her to return to her badminton career in January. “The two families have known each other, but it was only a month ago that everything was finalized. This was the only possible window as her schedule will be hectic from January. She will start her training soon after the reception, as the next season is going to be important,” stated her father, PV Ramana.
Sindhu’s fiancé, Venkata Datta Sai, is not only an executive director at Posidex Technologies but is also a co-owner and managing director at Sour Apple Asset Management, as indicated by his LinkedIn profile.
PV Sindhu is celebrated as one of India’s most successful athletes, having won five world championship medals, including gold in 2019. She also secured back-to-back Olympic medals at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Now 29, Sindhu is targeting the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, aiming to stay injury-free in what may be the final phase of her illustrious career. She achieved her career-high world ranking of number two in 2017.
Sindhu’s wedding marks a significant milestone in her personal life, as she balances her commitment to her sport and her new marital journey.
